Time to be conscientious!

Second blog entry of the year~ been working hard, both at work and blog entry-wise! 2011 has been proving to be quite good so far, with a few additional house furniture that was much needed! We hardly do anything to the house and just leave it to deteriorate, with accumulated mess and mismatched furniture... not anymore!  =D Icie and I finally got our air con~

From Week 1-4, 2011
Mine with a piyo sitting on top~
Initially, we were thinking of installing a permanent one, but then for some reason, my parents started talking about moving (!!! I didn't know anything about it either, I thought we'd be staying in this house forever!) so they went and got a portable one. Which is good, cos even though it's big and takes up so much room, we can always pack it away after summer =D It hasn't really been a hot summer just yet- been raining more than anything else, but the worst is yet to come, so bring it on!!

And yea, my bed has two mattresses... cos it's great sleeping on such an elevated height.

From Week 1-4, 2011
Then we also replaced our two dodgy three seaters with this set of couch! It's crazy, really gotta thank pottie's parents, who practically gave it to us for free, and even transported it to our place for us!! Been obsessively cleaning it with baby oil (I was initially going to smother it with eucalyptus oil, but my mum is apparently allergic to it o O'' but it's such a good cleaning agent!) XD My mum and I have been sitting on it nightly to watch Korean dramas~ and getting baby oil on ourselves, haha~ smells nice!

Regarding food~ for some reason, food tastes nicer in colder weather (I suppose you feel the hunger more...) so I haven't really been obsessing over food these couple of weeks. Been skipping meals and eating anything that's around really, so I shall backtrack to last year when I did feel like eating~ theme: Mess! ... like what my room is always in~ =D ...

From Weeks 49-52
You can tell this was around Christmas last year. Gosh... last year... it's already the second week of 2011...

From Weeks 49-52
This was my catchup with BT at Rouse Hill Town Centre, a cute little shire-like shopping complex.

From Weeks 49-52
Unfortunately, I can't remember what the actual shop was called anymore, but it's a chocolate cafe. My mocha~

From Weeks 49-52
Mess 1! We ordered waffles with everything, ie. strawberries, ice cream and molten chocolate~

From Weeks 49-52
Yum?~ XD

From Weeks 49-52
This was on another occasion when tt and I went to the Thai restaurant downstairs of Capitol Square. There's only one... I can't remember the name either.

From Weeks 49-52
Mess 2...

From Weeks 49-52
... and Mess 3! I always find myself frequently ordering Ladna at Thai restaurants. When thinking about what to order, the first question that comes to mind (for me anyway) is whether to order something dry like rice, or wet like soup. Then I feel like both, and Ladna is both! Gravy on rice noodle~ tt ordered something boring like pad thai.

From Weeks 49-52
Mess 4! Tao Gei stir fried with x.o. sauce. It is such an awesome sauce... I think this was an end-of-semester celebration dinner with some uni friends at Eastwood, Tin Tong Shanghai restaurant.

From Weeks 49-52
A must-have in ANY Shanghainese restaurant. I couldn't believe it when Chef's Gallery said they didn't have any XLB. Shame!!

From Weeks 49-52
Also had this clay pot of salted preserved duck with taro balls. Should have ordered rice with this because it was so salty, but good.

From Weeks 49-52
Shall end with a close-up shot of pho! This was from the Vietnamese restaurant at Hornsby. It's the only Vietnamese restaurant outside of the shopping centre, which I cannot remember the name of either (I'm getting so bad at this). Why close up? It's already half eaten =P

Feeling really warm right now drinking hot tea. This ultra-super-fine-high-quality-hand-picked-pu-er tea which tt gave me for Christmas~ I have never tried cold brewing Pu Er tea, and since Yabukita didn't turn out too well when cold brewed, I thought I'll try this ultra-super-fine-high-quality-hand-picked-pu-er tea hot first~ quality stuff! haha~ sankyuu =D

But really, tonight's a warm night... *hugs aircon* my new best friend~

I often order pad thai to be on the safe side...even though I have it almost twice a week at uni >_>

Skipping meals is bad~
